Success!!! Gratitude!!!

Our event today was an amazing success, we had a great crowd of dogs, children, and adults who enjoyed food, sunshine, beverages, excellent live music, craft project, and - at 4 p.m. - the piñata!
Enough money was raised ($5,000) for Buffalo Companion Animal Network (Buffalo CAN), Charlie's companion dog (who he will meet later this summer ... a golden retriever pup!!!), and some puppy/dog kibble.

Paws for Charlie - today !

Hi to one and all,
Paws for Charlie is a rain or shine event.
There are many great auction items in our Chinese and silent auctions - great Sabres tickets (2 pairs), restaurant gift certificates, certificates to stay in Buffalo's newest B&B (Buffalo Guest House), salon gift certificates, artwork, a pair of Theatre of Youth season passes, a New Era ballcap, and more!
Adult tix are $20, and kids are $10.
There will be live music, dogs to pet, a craft project to make, a piñata to wack, more live music, great food and beverages.

Paws for Charlie - 1 Week Away !

Hi all,
Paws for Charlie takes place in one week and our committee has been planning this fun, summertime event that is family-friendly and "neighborhoody."
We have many fine auction items that will be in the Chinese auction, including Sabres tickets and several gift certificates to Buffalo salons. Additionally, there are gift baskets teeming with pet and kid items.
La Marimba will play tropical marimba first (accompanied by vocalist Annie Deck-Miller), from 2:15-3:15 p.m., followed by the bubbly duet of vocalist/keyboardist Theresa Quinn and drummer Tom Brown, from 3:45-4:45.
This promises to be a fun, easy-going affair.

Here is our poster for the event on Sunday, July 13th.
A few on our committee members asked Charlie's Auntie, Tiff, about Charlie looking into the camera's lens. She replied that Charlie is intrigued by cameras, one of the few things he will actually peer deeply into – a fact that our committee member NJP, professional photographer, enjoyed hearing. "The power of the camera," she said. And companion dogs, too!
